Head of Procurement and Stock Control

Taffelbay is a bakery chain in the Copenhagen area. We are looking for a Head of Procurement and Stock Control to make sure our bakery always has the right ingredients and supplies, in the right quantity, at the right quality and at the right price. You will keep production running without shortages, limit waste and keep the cost of raw materials under control.

What you will do

• Own the ordering of raw materials, packaging and consumables, and place orders on time based on production plans, expected sales and busy periods such as Fastelavn, Easter and Christmas

• Manage supplier relationships: compare prices and quality, negotiate terms, agree delivery times and handle complaints and credit notes

• Receive and check deliveries against orders for quantity, quality, temperature and best-before dates, and record any deviations

• Run stock control: keep the storerooms organised, apply FIFO, carry out regular stock counts and keep inventory records accurate

• Reduce waste and write-offs by monitoring expiry dates, adjusting order quantities and flagging slow-moving items

• Monitor the raw material percentage by product group and report deviations to the Head Baker and management

• Make sure goods are stored and labelled in line with food safety rules and our own-check programme, including traceability

• Coordinate with the Head Baker, the Scaling Room and the Dough and Laminated Pastry teams, so production needs are known well in advance

• Prepare a stock plan for peak periods that covers the extra demand, and agree it with the Head Baker

Who you are

• Accurate, with a good head for numbers

• Structured and a strong planner

• Clear communicator with suppliers and colleagues

• Good understanding of bakery ingredients and production

We offer

• Employment: salaried employee (funktionær) contract, full time, 37 hours per week

• Working hours: daytime hours, with one fixed weekday off and work every second weekend
